Since it is the biggest gift giving time of the year, I thought I would take this time to give you something to think about before buying those smart devices. I recently saw an article about a certain brand of air fryer that seems to be spying on people.

From the article – “You don’t need to worry about the air fryers sending reports about your eating habits to your healthcare provider just yet. But according to Consumer group Which?, the air fryers’ associated phone apps wanted to know customers’ precise locations, as well as permission to record audio on the user’s phone.” Certain brands were even sending people’s personal data to servers in China. It did say this in their privacy notice, but no one reads those. Maybe we should.
